Representatives of the Rambla Tabala Dam Platform, created a month and a half after the last floods in our Region, and which brings together more than three hundred farmers from Alquerías, Beniel, Los Ramos, El Raal, Zeneta and Orihuela, were received this morning in The headquarters of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura by its president, Mario Andrés Urrea Mallebrera and by the technical director of the CHS, Carlos Marco García in a meeting that lasted an hour and a half in which the representatives of the Platform have sent the Confederation the urgent need to undertake the necessary works in the channels and demand the urgent construction of the dam of the Rambla Tabala to avoid the dramatic consequences of another possible DANA.

Among the members of the platform were its president and spokesman Juan de Dios Hernández, Vice President Iñaki Mellado Aroca;

the mayor of Beniel, Mari Carmen Morales;

the pediatric mayor of Alquerías, Fernando González Ortín;

the councilor of the City Council of Orihuela, Víctor Valverde;

the president of ASAJA, José Martínez and the general secretary of ASAJA, Alfonso Gálvez who denounced the situation of the flood zone increased by the construction of the highway of the bancal and the highways of the AVE, that act as a dam and cause floods and demanded the urgent construction of the Rambla Tabala dam, a project that was already budgeted in 1987 and has never been carried out.

After the meeting, the platform spokesman Juan de Dios Hernández referred to the receptivity on the part of the president of the Confederation who was aware of the problem and promised to shorten the deadlines and summoned them to a new meeting by the end of December where It will already be quoted with this cost-benefit study to be carried out by the Ministry.

For his part, the general secretary of ASAJA, Alfonso Gálvez, stressed that from the Confederation they recognized the unfortunate state in which the Reguerón was and committed themselves to replace the damage to the specks.

The representatives of the Platform pointed out that they will be pending the processing of the construction project of the Rambla Tabala dam to present the appropriate allegations when it comes to public information and assured that, if in the legal deadlines they do not solve the problem, they will not They rule out starting a mobilization calendar at the beginning of the year.
