Citizens today celebrated the start-up of the project to build a roundabout at kilometer 1.2 of the road between El Mojón and Zeneta, passing through the industrial estate of El Mojón de Beniel.
The project, which has a budget of 392,000 euros, counts thanks to an amendment of citizens with endowment in the regional budget, will be put out to tender this month, according to the general director of Highways, Francisco González.
The forecast is that the works, which have a deadline of three months, could begin at the beginning of the year.
"It is an infrastructure highly demanded by the businessmen and the neighbors, since this road supports a daily traffic of about 3,000 vehicles, of which 300 correspond to heavy traffic originating or destined in the industrial estate", highlighted the orange mayor Raúl Nortes, who recalled that Ciudadanos "has been claiming this work since the beginning of the legislature as part of the improvements we claim for Beniel, among which we do not forget the realization of the bypass of the municipality, for which we came to include in the budget regional of 2017 half a million euros, and of which we have no news beyond the excuses of the regional government on what is paralyzed by a matter of permits with Adif ".
