Sermubeniel is extending the Social Fund for another year to help families without resources. Thanks to the 4,500 euros of this contribution, 15 families benefited from the cancellation of 36 water receipts in 2018 (30/01/2019)

Sermubeniel, the company that is in charge of the water supply in the municipality of Beniel, turns once again with the residents of the town.

The social fund has been renewed to help families at risk of exclusion to pay their water bill.

The agreement that has been signed by the mayor of the municipality, Mari Carmen Morales, and the manager of Sermubeniel, Juan Jaime Ferrer, has an annual amount of 4,500 euros to pay the bills of those families who can not afford the payment of the water bill.

Thanks to this Social Fund, in 2018 fifteen families were beneficiaries of the cancellation of 36 water receipts.

The agreement established for this year between the City Council of this municipality and Hidrogea, the two shareholders of the joint venture, will focus on the most needy, complying with the reports of social services.

The process so that families can benefit from this Social Fund requires a previous report from the Municipal Social Services, since this department is the one that has the follow-up of families in a situation of exclusion.
