| Department of Health, General Directorate of Public Health and Addictions | The General Directorate of Public Health and Addictions of the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Spanish Association against Cancer (AECC), the City of Beniel and the Health Center, launches the Breast Cancer Prevention Program for another year in the town.Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer in women, especially in women between the ages of 50 and 69.
For this reason, the Beniel City Council collaborates with this program and invites neighbors to participate in it.Early detection is performed by mammography every two years in women between 50 and 69 years.
To facilitate access to this test, a preventive measure that facilitates early diagnosis, two fully equipped mobile units will travel to the municipality of Beniel.In total, 894 women have been summoned by letter, who must go to the mobile units between June 15 and 18, according to what appears in their letter.
They will be located next to the New Railway Station and in C / Alfonso X el Sabio (area of ??the old Bar Esperanza pools)Decreasing mortality from this disease and increasing the quality of life of those who suffer from it are the main objectives of this action.
