The Beniel City Council has completed the first of three actions aimed at increasing the surface available for parking in the South Urbanization.

Starting today, a new space with more than 90 spaces has been remodeled so that residents of the town can park their vehicles more comfortably.The Department of Works and Services has completed the project, the start of which was postponed due to the health emergency caused by COVID-19.

Within the action, access to an adjoining building has also been improved and more parking space has been conditioned on said street.

"The works that have been carried out are the starting point to fully improve the availability of parking in Beniel," stressed the mayor of the municipality, Mª Carmen Morales.The City Council will continue to increase the parking areas for citizens with two new actions that are in development.

The first of these, also located in the South Urbanization, began last November with the signing between the City Council and RENFE of an agreement for the assignment of a space near the railway tracks that cross the town.

The council is preparing the area for parking and for the creation of leisure spaces and a geronto-gym area.

Also at the entrance to the town, a new car park with a large capacity will be enabled in the coming months.
