The Beniel City Council has celebrated Universal Children's Day, with activities organized by the Department of Citizen Participation and by the Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents (body for child and youth participation).
November 20 is a commemorative date to make boys and girls visible as subjects of rights, which must be protected. For this day, the Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents has developed a small exhibition of works carried out by the group and a new area for reading the Children's Rights has been set up in the "Infanta Cristina" Cultural Center.The mayor of the municipality, Mª Carmen Morales, has visited these spaces and participated together with the area councilor in a videoconference with the members of this body.
During it they have been thanked for their work and work for the benefit of children.Framed in the commitment to continue supporting children on November 20, the City Council has lit up in blue, a color to make this commemorative date visible and in the last plenary session of the Consistory the Declaration of Universal Children's Day of UNICEF was approved.
