Beniel City Council offered its neighbors an evening where the culture and solidarity were holding hands.
Last night, opened the exhibition hall that has hosted and thirty samples, with the name from now on will be known to the room, "Pepe Rubio."
Former local pharmacist, was honored because he enjoyed the company of family and friends at the time to uncover the label where his name was.
This initiative was a commitment by Mayor Roberto Garcia, when a month ago, announced the launch of a book of photography Beniel, which Rubio is one of the authors, that the exhibition hall of the Centro Cultural Infanta Cristina, Pepe Rubio called because of the close cooperation it has with the world of culture in Beniel.
Has donated an entire photographic archive of the municipality to the City, and a mural painted by Mariano Ballester of high economic and sentimental value for her family.
For this reason, any municipal corporation headed by its mayor, Garcia Navarro, decided to name the room that much artistic culture is offering benielenses.
On the other hand, Beniel enjoyed a magnificent exhibition, "Painters Solidarity" organized by UNESCO Centre of Murcia, in which the greatest artists of our region from the likes of Emilio Pascual, Diaz Bautista, Zachary Cherry or Pina north wind exposed their works for a charity, since 50% of proceeds from works sold is donated for building primary schools in Paraguay.
The curator of this exhibition of more than 35 tables, Miguel Olmos, said the itinerant nature of the show and the artistic significance of each work, as well as the President of the Unesco in the Region of Murcia, Pablo Reverte, who spoke of the sense of this project.
For his part, Roberto García Navarro, Pepe Rubio congratulated for this well-deserved tribute, and invited all attendees to buy a book to help children in Paraguay.
